Are bitcoins still cool?

Im out here giving picks on sports and talking about power ball and mega millions when there are hundreds of millions of dollars in a dump in the UK!

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/jan/14/man-newport-council-50m-helps-find-bitcoins-landfill-james-howells

So this story is about a guy who had a hard drive with about 200 million euros worth of bit coin on it and he accidently threw it out. He didn’t know at the time it would reach 200 milly but he did know it was worth a lot and in theory it is out there in the dump for anyone to find. The funny part is how little the town is doing to help him find it. If I worked at the dump or was this dudes garbage man I would be ALL OVER helping him find this shit, it would become my second. Hes offering 50 million euros to the town if they help him find it, and they wont take it because it trying to uncover the hard drive could cause environmental damage. News flash British City I already forgot the name of all non-disposable garbage causes environmental damage, take the 50 mil and move along for fucks sake.

Now the reason this story resonated with me was because a few days ago I read about this man;

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2021/jan/12/in-bits-the-programmer-locked-out-of-his-130m-bitcoin-account

This dude was given 7000 bitcoins some years back when they were worth 5 bucks each and they were put in a digital wallet which is a lot like a hard drive if you don’t know (or it can be), and 7000 bit coins is about 240 million dollars now. This guys issue is not that he threw out his bit coin wallet, like the first guy, HE JUST CANT REMEMBER HIS PASSWORD. He gets 10 tries at entering a password and then the drive just erases itself and HES DOWN TO HIS LAST 2 guesses. I don’t know what I would be doing at this point to try to remember my password, id take all the drugs. Good drugs like fish oil and stuff like that, that helps your brain, bad drugs like LSD or anything hallucinogenic just to try to knock something loose. My second job in this case would be trying drugs, which is a fun second job.

I wonder how many other people out there have thousands of bit coins that are now worth Millions of dollars that they cant get to. What a hilarious predicament. I have millions in coins on this video game I used to play, if that ever turns into the currency of the future, im fucked unless I can remember my log in. If you have any bitcoins that you cant access, even 1 or 2 of em, let me know, maybe ill buy them from you. Ill never be able to access them either, but I want some skin in this game. I want like 500 bitcoins that I just cant touch. 100 million dollars that I can only look at.
